Key Responsibilities Include

  • Oversee the full cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, coordination with hiring managers, onboarding, and evaluating the effectiveness of hiring practices.
  • Monitor and ensure timely renewal of fixed-term contracts.
  • Ensure all HR-related forms and documentation are accurately completed and processed in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour laws and HR legal requirements to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Act as the custodian of employee data, ensuring accurate and secure records are maintained in the Company’s HRIS .
  • Ensure non-national employees possess valid work and residence permits in compliance with immigration regulations.
  • Manage local content compliance processes in accordance with national requirements.
  • Support and manage internal communication efforts to promote organizational updates and employee engagement.
  • Organize and coordinate company events, meetings, and employee engagement activities.

Qualification

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR professional qualification is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources, preferably within a multinational or fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in both English and French is required.
  • Experience in the mining or extractive industry is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Proactive, business-oriented, and consultative approach to HR support.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong business sense and understanding of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) considerations.
  • A team player with the ability to provide guidance within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Workday HRIS is an added advantage.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Strong business sense and EHS focus.
