Job Description (Key Responsibilities & Requirements)



Some of the main duties and requirements include:


  • Lead the Medical Affairs R&I Therapy Area team, guiding strategic direction to align with company goals.  
  • Establish standards of medical capability, plan resources, and provide scientific leadership.  
  • Drive real-world evidence (RWE) projects: identifying data sources, ensuring the scientific integrity of studies, and translating findings into actionable insights.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. marketing, regulatory, commercial) to identify and activate scalable initiatives that shape healthcare practice and improve patient outcomes.  
  • Oversee educational initiatives, develop clinical support tools, ensure product-related materials are current, accurate, and compliant.  
  • Uphold governance: medical, ethical, regulatory compliance (including promotional materials, safety/profile oversight, PI updates).  
  • Lead and mentor the Medical Affairs team: set goals, support professional development, foster a culture of scientific excellence and collaboration.  



Essential Qualifications/Skills include:


  • Degree in a scientific discipline; a master’s degree is required.  
  • Extensive experience in Medical Affairs in pharma.  
  • Strong stakeholder management.  
  • Strong understanding of clinical development, regulatory requirements.  
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written).  
  • Team management experience.  



Optional / Desirable:


  • Doctoral degree (MD, PhD, PharmD)  
  • Previous R&I (Research & Innovation) experience  
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory & technical developments
