National Service Personnel

Background and Objective:

We are seeking an IT Graduate for a National Service position to support our growing technological needs and ensure the seamless functioning of our systems. This role is designed to provide recent IT graduates with practical experience in a professional and corporate environment.

Scope of Work:

The National Service Person will work with ACET’s IT team for a year, supporting their work across all areas.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team responsible for maintaining the organization’s IT systems, providing essential technical support, and ensuring that our technological infrastructure aligns with our goal of fostering sustainable development.

Specific Responsibilities:

Specifically, the IT Service Person will:

·      Provide friendly and professional technical support to users, delivering solutions in a timely manner.

·      Assist users with hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.

·      Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.

·      Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, patches, and antivirus scans to ensure the security and performance of IT systems.

·      Identify and report system issues to vendors. Monitor and test resolution of those issues sent to vendors.

·      Assist in maintaining inventory records and documentation for equipment.

·      Monitor backup systems and procedures to ensure data security.

The Talented Individual:

Education/Experience Education/Experience·      A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

·      Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux), productivity software (Microsoft Office 365), and common business applications.

·      Basic knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.

 Additional Information:

·    This is a National Service position, designed to provide hands-on experience in IT.

·     The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain practical skills and knowledge in a professional work environment.

·      The position is for the one-year mandatory service period and is not subject to renewal
