We are expanding our team in Ghana and looking for a Social Media Marketing Associate who is passionate about creativity, culture, and results.
 

Role Overview
The Social Media Marketing Associate will manage and execute day-to-day social media activities, marketing campaigns, and brand communications for Food Bazaar and its clients in Ghana. This role requires a mix of creativity, analytical thinking, and organizational skills. You’ll create engaging content, manage ad campaigns, interact with audiences, and track performance to help our clients grow.
 

Key Responsibilities
 

Content Creation & Management
● Plan, create, and schedule engaging content (videos, reels, stories, carousels, posts) across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
● Assist in producing and editing short-form video content with a focus on food, nightlife, and cultural storytelling.
● Collaborate with the creative director and team during shoots to brainstorm and execute new ideas.
● Maintain a content bank and ensure a consistent posting schedule.
Community Management & Engagement
● Respond to comments, DMs, reviews, and online inquiries across platforms in a timely, professional tone that matches brand voice.
● Actively engage with followers, influencers, and relevant online communities to grow visibility and strengthen brand presence.
● Monitor client online platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Google, Glovo, Bolt Food, etc.) and escalate issues as needed.
Advertising & Campaigns
● Assist in planning and running paid ad campaigns (Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Google Ads).
● Research and set up ad audiences, keywords, and targeting strategies to maximize ROI.
● Track campaign performance, prepare reports, and suggest optimizations.
 

Analytics & Reporting
● Monitor account performance: growth metrics, engagement rates, ad conversions, and impressions.
● Create weekly and monthly performance reports for both internal and client use.
● Use insights to recommend strategies for improving reach and results.
 

Strategy & Planning
● Work with the creative director to brainstorm campaigns for food promotions, nightlife events, influencer collaborations, and seasonal pushes.
● Support influencer and partnership outreach, ensuring collaborations are well-managed and documented.
● Assist in building social media calendars and marketing timelines.
 

General Marketing Support
● Research trends, sounds, and hashtags to keep our content fresh and relevant to both local and international audiences.
● Support email campaigns, blog content, and SEO where needed.
● Stay up to date with competitor activities and industry best practices in Ghana.
 

Requirements
● Laptop: Must own a reliable laptop, minimum Intel Core i5 (or equivalent) for smooth content and ads management.
● Smartphone: Must own an iPhone 11 or above for high-quality video recording and app use.
● This role requires daily social media management, including weekends. Tasks must be completed every day, but we allow flexibility on weekends if you have other commitments — as long as deliverables are met.
● Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook for business growth.
● Hands-on experience with content creation and short-form video editing (CapCut, Canva, or Adobe tools).
● Familiarity with paid ads platforms (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads) is a plus.
● Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write engaging, on-brand captions.
● Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies.
● Excellent communication and organizational skills.
● Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● Familiarity with Ghanaian culture, trends, and online communities is an advantage.
● Additional Skills (a plus, not mandatory):
○ Graphic design (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva Pro).
○ Advanced video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut).
○ Photography or videography experience.
