WE ARE HIRING
Our client, an FMCG company based in Ghana is looking to recruit a highly experienced Area Sales Manager to join the team.
ROLE
The purpose of this role is to develop and implement sales strategies, manage sales teams, and achieve sales targets within the assigned territory. The role handler has to be involved in building relationships with customers, identify market opportunities, and ensure the effective execution of sales plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist in developing but mainly implementing strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives within the assigned territory.
Identify market opportunities, potential customers, and key accounts for sales expansion.
: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, including:
retailers, distributors, and partners.
* Lead, coach, and mentor sales teams to maximize their performance and productivity.
Set sales targets, quotas, and goals for individual team members and monitor their progress.
Conduct regular sales meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions for sales staff.
* Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
* Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies, campaigns, and sales collateral.
* Ensure compliance with sales policies, procedures, and regulations
* Provide feedback to senior management on market conditions, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
Monitor inventory levels, sales forecasts, and product demand to optimize inventory management.
* Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
* Stay informed about industry developments, product innovations, and emerging market trends.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field; MBA is an added advantage.                                                                                                    2.  Proven experience in sales management, preferably in a similar industry or market segment.                                                                                                                    3. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
4. Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams.
5. Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
6. Knowledge of sales techniques, negotiation strategies, and customer relationship management.
7. Familiarity with CRM software and sales automation tools.
8. Ability to travel within the assigned territory and occasionally nationally or internationally.
9. Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
