We are looking for an accomplished and strategic Senior Sales Director to spearhead our commercial growth across Eastern and Southern Africa. This leadership role is critical in expanding our footprint, driving consistent revenue growth, and building long-term strategic partnerships across enterprise, government, and institutional clients.
The successful candidate will undergo an immersive 6-month training and onboarding program at our global head office, during which the company will provide fully paid accommodation and support. Upon completion, you will assume full responsibility for the region, reporting directly to HQ. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned sales leader with a strong background in technology solutions sales, deep knowledge of African markets, and the ability to drive results in complex, multi-country environments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Market Development:
● Develop and implement a comprehensive regional sales strategy covering Eastern and Southern Africa, aligned with corporate growth objectives.
● Conduct market mapping, opportunity assessments, and competitive analysis to identify priority countries and sectors.
● Build and manage a sustainable pipeline of opportunities across enterprise clients, governments, and development institutions.
● Drive the introduction of new products and services in regional markets, adapting global strategies to local realities. Sales Leadership & Business Growth
● Own the P&L responsibility for Eastern and Southern Africa, ensuring profitable and sustainable growth.
● Lead end-to-end sales cycles: prospecting, stakeholder engagement, technical solution selling, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closure.
● Secure large-scale, high-value contracts, including multi-country deals.
● Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with distributors, resellers, channel partners, and system integrators. Client Relationship Management
● Build trusted advisor relationships with C-level executives, government decision-makers, and institutional partners.
● Ensure client satisfaction and retention, working closely with delivery and customer success teams.
● Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and forums, positioning the brand as a thought leader. Team Development & Regional Operations
● Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing regional sales team (account managers, business development executives, channel managers).
● Establish a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs, continuous coaching, and recognition of excellence.
● Foster collaboration between regional offices and Dubai HQ to ensure alignment on global strategies.
● Ensure effective resource allocation, budgeting, and cost control in the region. Operational Excellence and Compliance
● Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline tracking, and revenue reporting using CRM tools and dashboards.
● Monitor and optimize sales processes, methodologies, and governance for efficiency and scalability.
● Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory frameworks across all operating countries.
● Mitigate risks by ensuring all contracts, partnerships, and sales activities adhere to company policies and ethical standards. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
● Achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets (revenue and profitability).
● Growth in market share across Eastern and Southern Africa.
● Number and value of new enterprise/government accounts acquired.
● Expansion of strategic partnerships and distribution channels.
● Client retention and satisfaction scores.
● Performance and development of regional sales team.
● Accuracy of sales forecasts and reporting to HQ. Qualifications and Experience
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Technology, or related field. MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
● Experience:
○ Minimum 10–12 years of progressive sales experience in technology, IT, SaaS, or digital solutions.
○ At least 5 years at senior leadership level (Sales Director, Regional Director, or equivalent).
○ Demonstrated success in multi-country sales operations across Africa.
○ Proven ability to close multi-million-dollar contracts with enterprise and government clients.
○ Experience in building and managing regional teams.
● Technical/Industry Knowledge:
1. Solid understanding of digital transformation, IT infrastructure, SaaS solutions, cloud services, or enterprise technology products.
2. Familiarity with public procurement processes, development partners, and corporate B2B sales in Africa. Skills and Competencies

Additional Requirements:
● Commitment to spend an initial 6 months in Dubai for onboarding and training (with company-paid accommodation).
● Ability to work effectively across time zones, reporting to Dubai HQ.
● Fluency in English required; knowledge of Portuguese, Swahili, or French is an added advantage.
