Role Summary
The Head of Commercial will lead tendering, quantity surveying, and commercial management for mechanical and MEP engineering projects, ensuring accurate pricing, strong margins, and effective contract control.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end tendering and bidding for mechanical and MEP projects.
- Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Oversee mechanical and MEP quantity surveying (HVAC, plumbing, fire systems).
- Manage contracts, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Drive cost control, risk management, and profitability across projects.
- Lead and mentor the commercial/QS team and support strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years’ experience in engineering or MEP firms.
- Strong expertise in mechanical tenders, MEP BOQs, and cost management.
- Solid knowledge of construction contracts and procurement.
- Professional certification (NIQS/RICS) is an advantage.
