Job Description
Izhar Engineering is seeking a qualified Import Officer to manage the end-to-end import process, ensuring compliance with regulations and smooth coordination of shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle import documentation, liaising with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.
- Ensure timely customs clearance of shipments.
- Classify goods using HS codes and maintain compliance with import regulations.
- Monitor shipment schedules and coordinate delivery to the company’s location.
- Resolve issues related to import delays, customs hold-ups, or documentation discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions, costs, and compliance data.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to optimize import operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in import/export operations.
- Strong knowledge of customs procedures, HS codes, and import regulations.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage documentation, follow-up, and problem-solving.
