Contribute to ongoing Centre for Innovative Teaching & Learning (CITL) strategy development and evolution.
Provide support and guidance to the Tech Hubs and EdTech Fellows (current and alumni).
Enable and facilitate collaboration and partnerships across partner EdTech Fellows.
Act as a resource to Tech Hubs, EdTech entrepreneurs, and other implementation partners.
Support the development of the partnerships necessary to catalyze the Edtech ecosystem in Africa.
Provide perspective and expertise on emerging issues and trends in Ed Tech space to the EdTech partners.
Ensure the capture of data and learnings and ensure they are shared and contribute to the overall knowledge of the EdTech ecosystem.
Ensure alignment and foster partnership with other Foundation departments and units, especially within Education and Transitions.
Represent the Foundation at high-level regional education and skills development and technology forums.
Build a culture of learning, evidence building and knowledge sharing in EdTech across Africa.
Engage key thought leaders in the EdTech field to increase the Foundation’s knowledge base and communicate progress and lessons learned.
Stay on top of developments in the EdTech space – new concepts, key partner, new information being generated, policy movements, important upcoming events, etc.
WHO YOU ARE
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, Technology, or related fields; or equivalence professional experience.
At least 12 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
Experience and expertise in supporting networks and partnerships in education, EdTech, innovation, and teaching and learning.
Experience effectively engaging and collaborating with high-level government officials, key partners, media, business leaders and other network influencers.
Experience supporting multi-country initiatives.
Experience working with startup environments and supporting startup companies.
Experience with public speaking at high-level conferences and other forums, including media interaction. Formal media training would be an asset.
Excellent strategic capability and ability to plan and deliver complex initiatives.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate information to various constituents across cultures.
Excellent knowledge of key issues, emerging trends, and barriers in education and technology integration and a strong understanding of education policy and practice across Africa.
