WAYS YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE 

  • Contribute to ongoing Centre for Innovative Teaching & Learning (CITL) strategy development and workplan
  • Support the implementation of the EdTech Fellowship program in collaboration with Tech Hubs and Fellows.
  • Coordinate key activities, events, and ecosystem communications to ensure cohesion and engagement.
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of knowledge products, case studies, and learning reports.
  • Monitor and document program progress, challenges, and outcomes to inform continuous improvement.
  • Support the development of the partnerships necessary to catalyze the Edtech ecosystem in Africa.
  • Provide hands‑on guidance to EdTech fellows, Tech Hubs, and partners on strategy, product design, testing, validation, and market-readiness
  • Support relationship management with EdTech Fellows, Tech Hubs, and other ecosystem actors.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of program activities, collecting data, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Supporting in identifying opportunities for collaboration and innovation within the EdTech space.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends, innovations, and policy developments in EdTech across Africa.
  • Engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, share updates, and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Contribute to the documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and case studies from EdTech initiatives.
  • Stay on top of developments in the EdTech space – new concepts, key partner, new information being generated, policy movements, important upcoming events, etc.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Technology, or related fields; or equivalence professional experience.
  • At least 8 years in program management, preferably within the EdTech, technology,in education, EdTech, or innovation ecosystems.
  • Experience and expertise in supporting EdTech entrepreneurs or tech-for-development startups.
  • Experience effectively engaging with high-level government officials, key partners, media, business leaders and other network influencers.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate information to various constituents across cultures.
  • Excellent knowledge of key issues, emerging trends, and barriers in education and technology integration and a strong understanding of education policy and practice across Africa.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Mastercard Foundation’s values and vision.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.
  • Possess professional maturity, sensitivity with different cultures, and impeccable integrity.
