Job Summary:
We are seeking friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashiers to manage customer transactions and provide excellent service at the point of sale. The Cashier will be responsible for handling payments, issuing receipts, balancing the cash drawer, and assisting with front-of-house duties to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and process orders/payments accurately.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and mobile money transactions securely.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change as necessary.
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Assist with order packaging and ensure accuracy before handover.
- Respond to customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate staff when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and front counter.
- Collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service flow.
- Follow company policies on cash handling, safety, and customer service.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as a cashier, sales associate, or in customer service (preferred).
- Basic math and computer/POS system skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in hospitality/retail is an advantage but not required.
