Credit Manager-ghs5000

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the credit strategy of the division
Manage, train, and lead a team of credit officers to achieve set goals
Set up internal structures and systems that support the operations of the credit team
Report on key credit issues, and exposures and deliver the periodic credit review report to management
Prepare monthly credit reports, submit all loan reports to Credit References Bureaus and register all securities in the collateral registry
Carry out regular credit facility reviews to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the credit
Monitor all loans and report on early warning signs to management
Handle prudential reporting and all other reports from regulators
Qualification Required & Experience:
A good first degree with practical experience in Financial Services delivery (Banking and Finance, Management, Statistics, etc. from a Bank, Rural Bank, Savings and
loans, MFIs)
A professional qualification in a finance-related field will be an added advantage
Persons with at least Part ICA Part II and above, or CIA Part II, CISA, CIMA, ACCA part qualifications can also apply for this position
Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational, problem- solving and analytical skills
A proven track record of portfolio and delinquency management is a must
Must have at least 3 years working experience in a managerial capacity - at least with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in a supervisory or managerial
position, i.e. leading teams to achieve results
Determined personality with initiative, perseverance, and the ability to motivate and manage a team
