Job Summary:

The Tax Supervisor is a key member of the tax team, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of tax engagements. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and client management. The Tax Supervisor ensures the timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns, provides guidance to junior staff, and stays current on evolving tax legislation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tax Preparation and Compliance:

 * Oversee and manage the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns (e.g., income, sales, property, and payroll taxes) for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.

 * Conduct thorough reviews of less complex tax returns and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

 * Research and analyze complex tax issues, providing clear and concise recommendations.

 * Ensure strict adherence to all tax laws, regulations, and deadlines.

 * Handle inquiries and disputes with tax authorities, such as the IRS and state agencies.

2. Leadership and Team Management:

 * Supervise, train, and mentor a team of tax accountants and seniors, fostering their professional development.

 * Coordinate tasks and projects, ensuring the team's workload is managed effectively and deadlines are met.

 * Provide guidance and direction on intricate tax matters and technical challenges.

 * Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

3. Tax Planning and Strategy:

 * Develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities for the company or its clients.

 * Analyze financial data to identify tax savings opportunities and assess potential risks.

 * Assist in financial forecasting and budgeting from a tax perspective.

 * Advise senior management on the tax implications of business decisions.

4. Client and Stakeholder Relations (for public accounting firms):

 * Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, acting as a primary point of contact for tax-related matters.

 * Communicate complex tax issues clearly and effectively to clients and internal stakeholders.

 * Assist in identifying new business development opportunities and preparing proposals for new services

Requirements:

1. With minimum 4 years experience preferably in tax consultancy

2. Bachelor Degree with minimum GPA of 3.00 from reputable university, major in Accounting or Tax Able to work in a team, can work under pressure, fast learner Applicant must willing to work out of town and work overtime

3. Fluency in English (verbal and written)

4. Discipline, good personality and positive attitude

5. Having Tax Brevet (A and B)

6. Having USKP would be an advantage
