JOB SUMMARY:
Were looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our database systems. The ideal candidate will have strong database expertise, advanced Excel skills, and a sharp analytical mindset. This role ensures data accuracy and performance to support business decision-making.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
* Install configure and maintain various database systems (e.g; PostgreSOL, SQL Server Oracle, MySOL) ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and availability.
* Monitor and tune database performance, including indexing, query optimization, and partitioning, to improve efficiency and response time
* Implement robust security and compliance measures for database access, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
* Manage backup. recovery, and disaster recovery processes to protect data integrity and support business continuity.
* Automate routine database administrative using operations and scripts, tools, and database management platforms
* Collaborate with developers and analysts to design optimized data models schemas, and stored procedures aligned with application and reporting needs.
* Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations. and patches, minimizing downtime and ensuring data consistency.
* Analyse, clean, and interpret data from multiple sources, supporting business intelligence through dashboards, trend metrics analysis.

* Support decision-making with data-driven insights, including forecasting, scenario analysis, integrating Excel with databases for and dynamic, real-time reporting.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems. Data Analytics, or related field
* 3-Felted of proven experience as a DBA, Data Analyst.
* Strong SQL knowledge and experience with SOL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSOL tVBA/macr
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Powel Bl, Tableau).
* Experience with backup/recovery, performance tuning and database security.
* Familiarity with ETL processes and APt integrations.
* Strong problem-solving. troubleshooting and communication skills.
* Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SOL Google Cloud SOLI
* Exposure to scripting languages (Python, R,.Net) would be an added advantage
