 Accountabilities:

Lead and manage the underground mining team (employees and contractors) to deliver production targets in line with budget and Life of Mine plans.Provide strategic and operational input into business planning, integrated quarterly planning, and life-of-asset scenarios.Develop and manage the annual budget for underground cost centres, ensuring monthly accuracy and long-term alignment.Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.Implement and maintain effective systems, processes, and standards for underground operations to maximise safety and efficiency.Lead and support improvement initiatives, studies, and special projects to drive operational performance and innovation.Collaborate with colleagues across Sunrise Dam and the broader Australian region to optimise value delivery. 

About You

  • A degree in mining engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, with a solid background in underground operations.
  • Eligibility to be appointed to the statutory role of Underground Manager under WA legislation (First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency).
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the business.
  • The ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
  • Current and valid Australian working rights (mandatory).
